I’m a lifelong creative based in Los Angeles, and I run Ayv Studio.
I’ve spent the majority of my career in global advertising, working on award-winning campaigns and emailing across every timezone imaginable. Throughout those years and amongst many open tabs of “World Time Buddy” I fell in love with my now wife, and got engaged.
I’m the kind of girl who started dreaming about my wedding as soon as I knew what a wedding was, and as it began to take shape in earnest, a low hum inside me was constantly saying “I should design my own wedding invitations.” I took a leap of faith and designed a beautiful suite that I felt immensely proud of.
I couldn’t shake the feeling that creating gave me. It had further opened up a part of me that I had been quietly nurturing for years, making handmade birthday cards for friends and family, intricate watercolor paintings for gifts, and daydreaming about creating full time.
I bet on myself, and opened Ayv Studio (my full initials, AAEV, phoneticized). Since then, I have had the sincere joy of working with a variety of couples and clients to create thoughtful, beautiful, and deeply personal designs.
Let’s make something together.
About me:
- I love a really good pen, and prefer a handwritten grocery list over my phone any day.
- It’s not uncommon for me to cry a little when a slant of afternoon sunlight hits the wall just right because it makes me feel everything at once.
- I’m a sixth generation Idahoan turned California girl.
- My favorite album ever is “Graceland” by Paul Simon.
- I have an incredible wife who is my favorite person on earth. Our dog Stella (who I consider to be a tiny person), is a close second.
